Zines for Change! with Jess Walters

Join local artist and disability justice advocate Jess Walters for a free zine-making workshop at Second Street Gallery! During this workshop, participants will learn about how zines have been and can be used to share information and creatively engage with political issues. Following a brief overview and demonstration, materials will be provided to create a collage-style zine to scan, print, and send to local legislators (if desired) to inform or inspire around an idea that you are passionate about. 

Participants will get to take home printed copies of their zines to share. Each participant may print up to 5 copies of their completed zine and can opt to receive a digital file of the scan via email. 

The workshop is limited to 25 participants and to participants ages 16+.
